With the addition of trailering technology and adaptive cruise control, Chevy responds to its customers.
Improved towing capabilities on the 2020 Chevrolet Silverado
Silverado owners like to tow. Whether it’s work equipment or their favourite recreational vehicles, they demand that flexibility. The Silverado and Silverado HD receive an available trailering system with 15 unique camera views, including transparent trailer technology that uses a special tailgate- and trailer-mounted cameras. That’s valuable help when navigating tough parking lots and around tough obstacles.
Trailering is enhanced through the use of available smart technology through myChevrolet mobile app using compatible smartphones or the Silverado’s infotainment system.
New engine choices and propulsion improvements on the 2020 Chevrolet Silverado
The all-new 3.0L Duramax turbo-diesel engine opens up a new era of efficiency. With an SAE-certified 277 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque, your Silverado expands its capabilities. Most of the torque arrives at 1,250 rpm, and it peaks at 1,500 through 3,000. This new engine is available on LT, RST, LTZ, and High Country trims.
The popular 5.3L eight-cylinder with DFM (Dynamic Fuel Management) is now available with a full 10-speed automatic transmission. This offers a more dynamic driving experience with tighter gear ratios and smoother shifting.
The 2020 Silverado Custom is also available with Chevy’s advanced 2.7L four-cylinder turbo, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The interior of the Silverado keeps the same approach to comfort, convenience, and technology throughout each model. Once you take one for a test drive, this will result in a total driving experience that’s hard to forget.
New to the interior for 2020 is the available Adaptive Cruise Control Camera feature. Mounted behind the rearview mirror, this camera reads the road and applies advanced software to keep a safe distance from vehicles ahead. When safety matters, this feature operates along with several standard safety technologies to help ensure a safe trip.
